This weekend I watched Instant Family. This movie is the definition of let's just sit down and watch a feel good movie. This movie has a lot of relatable parts in it which make the movie more enjoyable. The movie is also happy because after a lot of struggle the kids in this movie find their home for life.
The characters in this movie were just perfect because they all had very different personalities. One kid always messed everything up but didn't mean to, the other messed everything up and meant to, and finally, the last kid kind of had a IDGAF attitude. They are all very different but I think they complement each other beautifully and make for interesting scenes. I think the message of this movie is also very strong. In my opinion the message is, while there may be struggles in your life just trust the process and everything will work itself out. I say this because the parents and kids both thought they hated each other but in the end they figured out that their true family was standing right in front of them. I think that this movie is meant for a lot of people except little kids. I found that to understand this movie you sorta have to know a lot about the world to understand it. I watched it for the first time a few years ago and didn't understand a lot of the language used in it. Anyway, I thought the movie was good 9/10.

First off, I wanna start by saying, I don't know why pictures from my most recent blogs go to older blogs but I can assure you my pictures on old blogs once did match. Anyway, this weekend I watched this movie (title is too long). I wanna start off by saying that I thought this movie was very very mid. There honestly was nothing special about it. There were some parts that were funny but other parts were just cringe and honestly the person that plays Alex is not a good actor. For example, at the end of the movie he gave his whole family a motivational speech and let me tell you, nobody that was watching that movie got motivated by that. I feel like this could be the fault of the script writers but it's up to the actor to have enthusiasm in his voice and to be fair he tried but it isn't good enough for a mainstream movie like this. The funniest part of this movie is when Alex's brother takes his driving test. He completely fails it and even manages to rip the door off the car. It's just funny how much the car gets messed up, you should watch the scene if you get a chance. One thing that I did like though is that fact that two very popular actors were used for the parents. They kinda saved this whole movie because they actually knew what they were doing when they got up to act. Anyway, I thought this movie was mid, 4/10.
All I have to say is if you want to die of laughter, watch this movie. This movie often goes under the radar for many people because to be honest it isn't that popular of a movie but to me and my teenage sense of humor, this movie hit the spot.
My favorite scene is the scene pictured above. If you're not familiar with the scene, Bob and his son go to empty the pooper in the RV. Unbeknownst to them, the pooper hasn't been emptied in years. Along with that, Bob and his son get help from some people who don't really know what they are talking about and have Bob do things that they don't really know the result of. When they do eventually empty it, because of the build up of pressure, poop rockets up into the air and rains down just on Bob. If you're not familiar with the story, the family vacation is already going horrible for him and this is just another terrible event amongst many. Another one of my favorite parts is when he takes the RV off roading and gets it stuck to where all 4 wheels are off the ground. This whole movie is filled with stupid events and it's so funny to watch Bob try and figure it out. I think this movie should be praised more so more people can see it. Overall 6/10. The day after prom I was feeling hungover so I decided to watch this movie with my dad. This movie is lowkey kinda hype and inspirational. It tells the story about a school teacher who starts fighting to raise money for a school he works at but when a member of the school steals everything that he's made he has to fight the biggest fight of his life to get it all back.
Like I said above, this movie is inspirational but it is also funny at some parts. For example, after Scott finishes fighting aguy he throws up all over him and then blames his weak stomach on homemade applesauce that one of his friends made him. Another funny part was when he invited a girl that he liked over to his house and had a friend of his make the dinner and then hide in the closet so the girl would think that Scott made it. As for the inspirational parts? It's the whole point of the movie. This guy came from an ordinary school teacher with no future to a hard working guy with hopes to save his school. He works all the way up from local fighting competitions to the big stage against one of the best fighters in the nation. And wins! Now obviously this story isn't true but I think it gives anybody who has dreams that seem un-achievable the confidence to go out there and give it their all. Overall, this movie was pretty good 8.1415926535/10. When Mr. H started this movie I thought “yay, I get to do stuff on my iPad while the rest of the class watches the movie.” But This movie actually caught my eye and I watched it all the way through from about the 10 minute mark.
After watching it I have to say, it is actually a really good movie. The things batman says are just so funny. My favorite part is when the butler asks him to go meet people in his family and he says “no, no, no, no etc.” It’s a simple writing choice by the writers but it gets the job done. If I had to describe the comedy of this movie, this one scene would be it. It definitely is kid humor but I feel like this movie is meant for all people and especially people that like comedy movies. Another one of my favorite parts was when the bad guys and good guys joined together to bring the city together and all of a sudden “snap.” So stupid but so funny. Overall, I am so glad that Mr. H gave me the opportunity to watch this movies because boy was it good. I am going to rate this movie a 8/10. I've watched this movie a few time but Its been awhile since I last watched it so I decided to refresh my memory on this movie. After finishing it, I realized that someone could make an argument for top 20 comedy movies of all time. I know Mr. H is gonna be like "Good movie but definitely not top 20" but every opinion is different right 😂. Anyway, I thought almost every part of this movie was funny except some parts which I will mention in a few sentences.
Alright, I first wanna start off by saying that the Wild Thing is by far the funniest character in the whole movie and the announcers make him even more funny. One of the most iconic lines in movie history is "just a bit outside". This is hilarious because the pitch that he threw wasn't just a bit outside, more like a mile outside. Also another funny part about the movie is just how much the players suck. They are a professional baseball team and aren't any better than a high school team. Wild Thing likes to hit people and there's something about the batters getting drilled in the back that just makes me giggle a little bit. And for the parts that weren't good? Well, sometimes the movie would put romantic moments in and I'm just not about that. It's a baseball movie not a love movie. That doesn't take off too many points though. If you want a good laugh I recommend that you watch this movie. 8/10. When I saw this movie it instantly caught my eye because I've watched the movie "Heaven is For Real" and it sounded like this movie was going to be very similar to it. And yes, it was very similar which is fine because I really liked "Heaven is For Real." Anyway, I thought this was really good. It shows the amazing things that God is capable and honestly encourages me to keep trusting him even when I think he's given up on me.
This movie is about a girl who suffers from an incurable disease that will eventually kill her but falls through the hollowed out trunk of tree and that magically cures her. It almost seems too good to be true but it is! I looked it up and this movie is based on a true story. The movie also talks about how the Anna had an encounter with Jesus when she was unconscious. This is two people now that have had an encounter like this which just improves my faith in Jesus even more because it shows that God is real. It's almost hard to have doubts now because proof of Jesus is documented not only is the olden days but also in modern times. It was also nice to see how much the parents loved their daughter. I mean, the Dad worked overtime, sold a motorcycle, sold some animals, and other things but it's sad that not all parents are like this. In my opinion children should be given the world and sometimes the parents leave and the kid is left with nothing. Anna is very lucky to have the parents that she had and I pray for any kid that doesn't have loving parents like them. Overall this movie was super good, 9/10. Over the weekend I was scrolling through movies to watch and I watched the preview of this one and begged my mom to pay the 3 or 4 dollars to rent it. She did, what a sweet mom. Anyway, I watched this movie and I was surprised at how good it was for kind of going under the radar within the movie industry. It tells the amazing story of this girl that is gifted academically and has to navigate her life through the challenges of the custody battle between her uncle and grandmother.
This movie is so awesome. It makes an ordinary person like me wonder, "how in the world does one get this smart?" I mean she started taking college classes when she was like 10. Just wild. Also, while this story isn't true, there have been real people like this girl in the world. It also kinda gives me a feeling of joy when I see Mary show up the kids in her class and also the people who are teaching her. However, this movie isn't all good. In some parts it's actually kinda sad. Mary, is taken into foster care and forced to be away from the only person she wants, her uncle. While this part is sad, the uncle and Mary end up eventually re-uniting which is just an amazing ending. I loved this movie, definitely recommend, 7/10. Over the past few days you may have been wondering, "Why is Luke not paying attention with his headphones in?" Well, I was actually watching a masterpiece of a movie - Apollo 13.
This movie was very interesting. Everyone always knows Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin for walking on the moon but what the men of Apollo 13 did was arguably more impressive. It's fascinating how an oxygen tank can literally explode and people predicted they had 15 minutes left but they stretch that into 50 plus hours. It's also pretty amazing that the astronauts build an oxygen filtering device out of things they had laying around on the ship. I just can't imagine being in their situation. The stress, the freezing temperatures, the fact that one wrong move and you're dead. It's just crazy. I gotta say, my favorite part is towards the end of the movie when the astronauts re-enter the atmosphere. People predicted that the heat shield could possibly not hold up but against all odds, withstood thousands of degrees of heat. You know the directors did a good job when even though you know the outcome, you were still nervous for the astronauts. Also, the movie said something crazy along the lines of "the O2 tanks were faulty years before the launch when they were building the rocket." That's just unbelievable to me that no one caught the problem. This movie was so interesting that I actually wanted another 20 minute video on it after I finished the movie. There's something about being in space that so crazy. I thought this movie was awesome 8/10. I've gotten recommendations for this movie for over a year now and I just got around to watching it. I think this movie is super hilarious and definitely deserves the title of a good ol classic movie.
There are so many hilarious parts in this movie and I'm going to name my top 3. Taking 3rd place is going to be when Ferris dressed up as Sloane's dad and picked her up from school with the principal confidently knowing Ferris was up to something. For the second place spot I'm gonna have to say the scene where the principal tried to go to Ferris's house and got absolutely destroyed. I busted out laughing with cold water from the hose started spraying him. And finally, my favorite part in the movie is when Ferris and Cameron are reversing the miles on Cam's dad's car and they accidentally run the whole car out of the window into the forest. It's just funny to imagine how pissed my dad would be if I did that to his prized possession. Also, an honorable mention goes to the start of the movie when Ferris is pretending to be sick and he starts playing on a keyboard to sell the fact that he is sick. It gives me some ideas 😜. Nah I'm just kidding. Anyway, I thought this movie was actually really good. It would have been awesome if they put out and Ferris Bueller's Day Off two but oh well, we're never gonna get that. If your someone who has never watched this, I recommend you give this movie a watch because it great. 8/10. |
