This weekend my parents were out of town so I had all the time in the world to watch as many movies as I wanted and out of all the movies I watched I have to say my favorite was Central Intelligence. In my opinion I think that Kevin Hart and Dwyane Johnson are a couple of the best actors in Hollywood. This movies merges their talents and makes the best dynamic duo. This movie is super funny and there's also a lot of surprising moments one being when Bob meets Calvin for the first time and he's ripped instead of fat like he was in high school.
Some of the movie was a little hard to understand. For example, the movie spends very little time explaining the secret codes that the the "Black Badger" has. Also, it makes me so mad how bad the secret agents are at aiming a gun. I know all action movies have this but it's still just so annoying. I feel like if the protagonist had to struggle a bit it would make the movie a little bit more interesting. Over all though I would give this movie an 8.672/10.

Like a lot of the movies I watch, this was another one recommended by my mom. I thought this movie was awesome and the fact that it is a true story just makes everything better . The writers showed the super highs and super lows of the story which makes it feel more real. Also, there's an aspect of un-predictability with the father figure in this movie that is just genius. My favorite part is when the father gets off alcohol for months and gets a job to support his family. However, the father has a fit of rage one night and destroys everything he worked toward to make a better future for himself. This is that aspect of un-predictability. The movie has a bitter sweet ending which I personally liked. The dad died which I think was completely fine seeing as he abused and stole from Jeannette all his life. However, the sweet part is when Jeannette marries her true love and she becomes closer with the rest of her family including her mom who also wasn't treated well by her husband. This weekend I was in the Christmas mood so I decided to watch a Christmas movie. I settled on Christmas Vacation and boy was that a good choice. I think this movie definitely takes the top spot for the best Christmas movie I have ever watched. This whole movie is comedy and the addition of Cousin Eddie is a great touch and he honesty carries the laughs of the movie. My favorite part is probably when Eddie crushes the lightbulbs that Clark put on the shopping cart. IFYKYK . Nothing seems to go right for Clark in this movie which is another funny aspect of the movie. One example of this is when he puts up thousands of lights and when he goes to use them they don't work. He then goes on to destroy everything he made which is just so funny. Another funny part that I enjoyed was how Clark thinks that he got his Christmas bonus but he actually didn't. Kind of sad but also funny. If you haven't watched this movie I recommend it 9.7/10. Wow! This movie is about two sisters who were split at birth and somehow reconnected at a summer camp. These sisters were on the other side of the world and they found and way back to each other. I really like how the writers made it so that the sisters hated each other and got in trouble. Eventually, sending them to solitary confinement together. The sisters are forced to set aside their differences and become friends still having no idea that they are twins. My favorite part of the movie is when they cut their hair, pierce their ears, etc. to look actually identical. When camp is over they switch spots and go back to each others home to see what they are missing.
I love how you never know what's going to happen. There is always a thought in your mind of "What if they find out that they are switched?" or "what if the family never reconnects?" Also the music choices are spot on in the movie. The songs are catchy and make you want to sing along! Finally, the producers give the audience a chance to see the differing cultures from where the different parents live. This kept me always entertained. |
